AI readiness & delivery plan
Inventory existing AI use, approved tools and service bottlenecks. Prioritize a use case by public benefit, risk, staffing and cost. Leave with an approval path, named owners, a baseline and a scoped pilot decision.
Municipal AI integration · King and Snohomish County
Your city needs a practical path through AI: what to approve, how to protect public information, and where it can help staff serve more people with the resources already available. I help connect those decisions to a defined service, a working pilot and a team that can operate it.

How your city can engage me
An independent integration partner for a defined team and service. Start with the systems and resources you already have.
Inventory existing AI use, approved tools and service bottlenecks. Prioritize a use case by public benefit, risk, staffing and cost. Leave with an approval path, named owners, a baseline and a scoped pilot decision.
Configure or connect approved tools around one department workflow. Test source accuracy, permissions, records export, accessibility and escalation with city owners. Document operating steps and a fallback before launch.
Coach a named internal champion, practice representative cases and review accepted work. Track review time, corrections, support and license costs so the city can decide whether to expand the service.
Possible starting points
These are possibilities to assess with your team, rather than prebuilt promises.
A closer look at the task
Illustrative workflows to scope and test, not live customer integrations or measured results.
Help applicants navigate approved requirements and prepare more complete intake. Give reviewers source-linked references and a clearer handoff across planning, building and engineering. Staff retain code interpretation and approvals.
What we would measure: Incomplete submissions, review-cycle rework and end-to-end time, including staff checking and corrections.
Connect approved city information to useful answers and service-request routing. Design clear AI disclosure, accessible use, reviewed language support and a route to a person when the system cannot help.
What we would measure: Correct routing, resolved inquiries, answer accuracy and access across channels and languages.
Make approved references easier to find within existing access rules. Work with records staff on capture, retention, retrieval and export of AI interactions; test that a useful answer points back to its current source.
What we would measure: Retrieval time, source accuracy, successful record export and staff effort maintaining references.
Responsibilities stay clear
City staff retain statutory authority, permit decisions and resident eligibility determinations. I work with your IT, records, procurement, accessibility and legal owners to implement the requirements they approve. Compliance decisions and legal advice remain with the city and its qualified advisers.
Governance that helps work move
Turn the city’s approved requirements into operating steps and acceptance checks, with accountable people at each decision.
Record the use case, data classes, vendor terms, procurement route and accountable owner. Verify what is permitted before connecting city data.
Check permissions, public-record handling, accessibility, disclosure and accuracy with the responsible city staff. Include unclear requests, outdated sources and cases that must go to a person.
Count staff review, repair, training and ongoing support in the cost. Compare completed service work and backlog against a baseline; scale only when the team can sustain it.
Choose the next decision

Starting at$3,500
Examine one operating process, its current baseline and the options for a useful first project.
Starting at$12,500
Put one bounded task into practice with agreed review, test cases and operator handoff.
Starting at$22,500
Scope a connected operational process with specified systems, human approvals and recovery paths.
Optional ongoing guidance
$4,500 / month
One team. One active task. Up to 12 all-in service hours per month, including meetings, preparation, reviews, support and documentation.
Internal Champion Mentoring
Help one named employee develop judgment and confidence using the agreed tools.
Fractional AI Lead
Provide practical direction alongside a named client counterpart and sponsor.
New builds, integrations, production engineering and daily queue work require separate scope. Monthly boundaries, billing and cancellation are agreed in writing.
Prices in USD. Exact scope and commercial terms are agreed before work. Applicable taxes, approved travel, hardware, vendor subscriptions and usage costs are separate. Future implementation scopes can include up to four hours of basic handoff for a primary operator and backup. Existing agreements keep their terms.
Municipal experience
I served on the Mountlake Terrace Planning Commission and as alternate Planning Commission liaison to the Comprehensive Plan Advisory Group. That experience informs how I approach municipal work: community priorities, staff expertise, public review and policy have to connect to the service people actually receive.
Past public service; no city endorsement or municipal AI delivery result is implied.

That is the first question to test. We inventory approved tools, licenses and workflows, then compare a native feature, a supported integration and a new purchase against the same service need. Your city confirms procurement, data and operating requirements before any pilot. Expansion depends on measured capacity, quality and ongoing cost.
We agree a client-specific baseline, representative and exception cases, an acceptance owner and the review needed. Outcomes depend on the task, permitted inputs and actual use; no savings or revenue result is guaranteed.
